Consideration of High-Quality Publications in Journals not included on Culverhouse Journal Lists
Faculty members who have authored or coauthored articles that have been accepted by peer-reviewed journals that are not on the current Culverhouse journal list may petition for evaluation and categorization of the article into one of the four categories (Aspirational, Excellent, Good, or Solid) used by the Culverhouse journal. This policy provides faculty with the opportunity to receive appropriate credit for published research that does not appear in journals on the college’s current journal list.
The categorization of a journal is only valid for the academic year and for the faculty members who are coauthors of the article for which a successful petition has been submitted
