The UA Office of Sponsored Programs guidelines state that the Internal Processing Form must be submitted through Cayuse to their office five business days prior to the sponsoring agency’s submission due date. All final technical documents must be submitted to OSP and the IPF must be fully certified at least 2 business days prior to the sponsor deadline. If these deadlines are not met, your proposal could be rejected without submission.
In addition to the OSP guidelines, Culverhouse guidelines must also be met. All proposals should be emailed to your Culverhouse Grants and Contracts Specialist ten business days prior to the sponsor deadline. It is best practice to make your CBA G&C Specialist aware you are wanting to submit to an opportunity two weeks prior to submission.
All CBA proposals submitted to OSP must come from cbaresearchsupport@ua.edu. OSP may not review proposals if emailed directly from the department or the Principal Investigator. The PI, department chair and Associate Dean will be copied on the email from the G&C Specialist to OSP.
If the above time frames are not met, the Associate Dean for Faculty and Research in consultation with the CBA G&C Specialist, reserves the right to inform the PI that there is not adequate time for proposal review and thus the proposal cannot be submitted. If the OSP proposal submission requirements are not met, the proposal will be returned to the department as incomplete and will not be submitted to the sponsor.
