Overview

The University of Alabama’s Office for Proposal Development (OPD) coordinates trips to Washington, D.C. in an effort to meet with Federal Program Officers and other individuals representing potential research funding agencies in and around the D.C. area.

Please contact the Associate Dean for Research if:

• You would like to travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with Federal Program Officers or other individuals representing potential research funding agencies in and around the D.C. area but cannot travel dates of the flights coordinated by The University of Alabama’s Office for Proposal Development
• You would like to travel to some other city to meet with Federal Program Officers or other individuals representing potential research funding agencies.

If you are interested in going you must first:

1. Contact the Associate Dean for Research
2. Schedule an appointment with your program officer
   1. Visit the D.C. flight tab on the OPD website for information on scheduling
3. Complete the application
